Third Party Data Processors
As your data processor we use a number sub-processors to provide our services. Details of the sub-processors we use with regards to your data are listed below. All sub-processors have been verified as either GDPR compliant or committed to being GDPR compliant by the 25th May 2018.
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
AWS provide us with our hosting, database, and backup infrastructure. All of our servers are located in Ireland.
Google Suite provide us with business email accounts. We send copies of transactional emails to internal email accounts for logs and accountability.
Mailchimp provide us with a communication platform for email and we use it in three ways:
- If we communicate with you to offer system updates or marketing messages we believe to be of legitimate interest to you based on our previous communication history, then the messages will be sent through Mailchimp.
- Event organisers can link their Mailchimp account to LIVE IT to automatically add customers to their mailing lists.
- We use Mailchimp’s Mandrill platform for sending transactional email – booking confirmations, account notifications, etc. Mandrill stores the content of emails for 30 days, and metadata for 90 days. We receive notifications from them with delivery status (that the email was received by the destination email server, was delayed, or bounced). We do not track opens or clicks.
Slack provides communication tools for teams and companies. Our platform uses it in two ways:
- We use Slack for internal company communication. For event organisers, certain actions may trigger a notification containing name and email address to Slack such as a feature request or making an event live.
- We provide an integration for event organisers to link to their Slack account to receive notifications about new ticket purchases.
Stripe provide payment processing services. Our platform allows an event organiser to link their Stripe account to receive customer payments.
As an organiser, if you link your Stripe account to our platform, we will be able to view transactions in your account which includes ticket buyer information.
As a ticket purchaser, facilitating a transaction requires the processing of personal data, such as the cardholder’s name, credit card number, the credit card expiry date, and CVC code. Your cardholder data is sent directly to Stripe. This is to help us take payment and meet our obligations in regards to fraud prevention, customer identification and refunds.
PayPal provide payment processing services. Our platform allows an event organiser to link their PayPal account to receive customer payments.
As an organiser, if you opt to receive customer payments via PayPal, we will store your PayPal account ID and information about the transactions we facilitate.
As a ticket purchaser, facilitating a transaction requires the processing of personal data, such as PayPal account details or if paying by card; cardholder’s name, credit card number, the credit card expiry date, and CVC code. PayPal payments are carried out on the PayPal website and the PayPal API provides data to us about the transaction. This is to help us take payment and meet our obligations in regards to fraud prevention, customer identification and refunds.
Intercom provide us with a customer support messaging platform. Every organizer that signs up to our service has their name and email address passed onto Intercom for support communications. Visitors to our website may sometimes use the intercom service for support, in this scenario Intercom will hold the person’s email address only if they give it as part of the support request. If we communicate with you to offer customer support then the messages will be sent through Intercom. If you send us any attendee data (e.g. in the form of text, a screenshot or CSV), or we need to discuss the specifics of an attendee's case then this data will be sent through Intercom's messaging system.
Sentry provide error reporting and logging services for our platform. If you experience an error while using our services, data about the action you were performing will be sent to Sentry to assist our development team in tracking down the problem. Some personal data may be included to assist our development team in tracking down a specific error. Any passwords that may be present are removed automatically before being sent.
LIVE IT are amember of Event Protect providing event organisers with event cancellation insurance. Personal data in the format of name & contact details from the ticket purchaser and event organiser is required in order to fulfil the policy requirements. Payment information is not shared. By purchasing a ticket through our service you may in the future be contactacted by Event Protect regarding your purchase should a refund be necessary.
LIVE IT are amember of Booking Protect offering ticket purchasers refund cover in the event that they cannot attend an event. Personal data in the format of name & contact details from the ticket purchaser is required in order to fulfil the policy requirements. Payment information is not shared. By purchasing a ticket through our service you may in the future be contactacted by Booking Protect regarding your purchase should a refund be necessary.
We use this system for our lead generation, we only approach people we believe to have a legitimate interest in our service. Close is used to track our sales activities, centrally manage emails, calls, voicemails and CRM tasks.
We offer an integration with Zapier for event organisers to automatically send contact information for new ticket bookings to their Zapier account to then typically feed into a CRM system.
